Luis A. Morales

Executive Vice President & Project Director - Interlink Construction

Luis A. Morales is Senior Vice President of Construction at Interlink, bringing 36 years of experience in the construction industry, all of them with the firm. He provides executive leadership and oversight for all construction operations, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives, and sets strategic direction for preconstruction, procurement, and project delivery across Interlink Construction's portfolio. He leads and mentors executive, project, and field leadership teams, and manages risk, contracts, and stakeholder relationships while driving improvements in systems, processes, and profitability.

 

Mr. Morales's project experience includes Bahia Beach, a $300 million master-planned community developed on 483 acres along Puerto Rico's northeastern coast, where he served as Senior Project Manager from 2003 to 2013. The development features a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. championship golf course, a two-mile sandy beach, and more than 60 acres of lakes and nature trails, and has been recognized by Audubon International as a certified Gold Signature Sanctuary. He also served as Project Manager for Las Casitas at El Conquistador Resort, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Fajardo, a $40 million, 157-villa project completed in 1995 and 2005 that became the first AAA Five Diamond resort on the island and the first condo-hotel project developed under Puerto Rico's Tourism Development Act of 1993.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, Puerto Rico. His areas of expertise include executive leadership and construction operations oversight, strategic planning and business growth, financial management and risk mitigation, and contract management and client relations.
